Poached pronghorn buck and doe discovered days apart in Kindersley area
Saskatchewan conservation officers are investigating two cases of poached pronghorn northwest of Kindersley. According to the Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety, officers first responded to a call through the Turn In Poachers and Polluters (TIPP) line on Sept. 20 after a pronghorn buck was found dead in the Teo Lake Migratory Bird Game Preserve, about eight miles northwest of Kindersley. Eight days later, on Sept. 28, officers located a pronghorn doe that had also been killed roughly three kilometres east of the initial site. Evidence has been collected from both locations, and conservation officers are appealing to the public for tips. Anyone with information is asked to contact their local conservation officer or call the TIPP line at 1-800-667-7561.
