One surrenders, police searching for two following incident in trailer court
Two people remain at large and one person has turned himself in following an incident that took place in a Moose Jaw trailer court last week. Owen Kretsch, 43, surrendered to Moose Jaw Police and remains in custody following an appearance in court yesterday (Monday, December 4, 2023). Krestsch has been charged with one count each of extortion, forcible confinement, and robbery. Police are still searching for Joseph MacDougall, 41, and Morgan Maier, 21, who were both involved in the incident where a victim was allegedly pulled out of their vehicle and taken into a nearby residence. It is believed that the victim was then threatened by six individuals with violence and brandishing weapons. The victim was able to escape the residence without harm. The Moose Jaw Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Section and Community Policing Division executed a search warrant. As a result, Jeffery Stuart, Jeremy Fisher, and Marnie Hayter were arrested a charged with robbery, forcible confinement, and extortion. Police say the victim and the six individuals are known to one another and it appears the attack was not random.
