The Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce Moose Jaw Business Excellence or MJBEX awards are honours handed out to local businesses across the Friendly City every year, and nominations are now being accepted.

Nominations are the easy part for residents to enter, as they just have to choose which category they think the business should compete for and why they deserve it. The business will have to be the ones who fill the nomination form and provide the requested information for the jury selection process.

There are 12 categories to be nominated for, including;

  • Impact Award
  • Community Involvement
  • Customer Service
  • Young Entrepreneur
  • Business Innovation
  • Marketing
  • New Business Venture
  • Pillar of the Community Award
  • Newcomer Entrepreneur Award
  • Job Creation
  • #trending
  • Moose Jaw and District Farm of the Year

At the awards, they will also be handing out Business of the Year and Business Leader of the Year.

If you have a favourite business in Moose Jaw that isn't a Crown Corporation or owned by the City of Moose Jaw, then you can nominate them and give them the attention they deserve.

"The marketing they get out of the night of the awards, the people they get to meet, and just being nominated is absolutely business," Chamber of Commerce CEO Rob Clark explained. "I mean any business that gets nominated, especially in the community and the district, that's got to be a plus, that has to make you feel good and be proud of what you've been doing in business."

The nomination deadline is the 31st with the MJBEX awards on April 10th, nominations can be completed online, but printed forms may be e-mailed to chamber@mjchamber.com or dropped off at the Moose Jaw Chamber office on 88 Saskatchewan St. E.
