Do you know any organization or resident that deserves recognition for their endless hard work, the Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce gives you a chance to do just that with their Citizen and Group of the Year Awards.

According to the Chamber of Commerce, the awards "recognize significant contributions to our City’s quality of life, both social and economic, made by private citizens."

Last year saw a record number of nominations come into the Chamber, with 11 residents and 9 organizations chosen up for the award in 2018.

So far, numbers aren't that good for forms coming in nominating people.

"There are so many people out there and you know during the year you always think 'you know that person deserves to be nominated for something' and then when nominations come up you tend to forget them," Rob Clark, CEO of the Chamber, explained. "So if everybody sat back for five or ten minutes we'd probably have numerous nomination and they'd be highly qualified as well."

Last year, Christine Boyzcuk was the recipient of the 2017 Citizen of the Year award and the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Moose Jaw were named as the Group of the Year.

You can nominate people online or by calling the Chamber at (306) 692-6414.
