In fact, it's our 2018 "Tree of Significance" in the City of Moose Jaw!

The City of Moose Jaw’s Tree of Significance program is..."to encourage residents to take notice of and appreciate our Urban Forest,” explained City of Moose Jaw Parks Gardener, Sarah Regent. “It is also a chance to bring awareness to a tree with special significance in our community.”

The City thanks all who supplied nominations and is pleased to announce the 2018 Tree of Significance: - a Tatarian maple which resides on the Saskatchewan Polytechnic campus. This tree is not only an impressively large specimen of a relatively rare species in Moose Jaw, but was also the tree used to display red dresses as part of the REDress Exhibit, which was part of the Atamiskākēwak National Gathering held in April, 2018.
