Tai Chi Open House

Saturday, Apr 06, 2019 at 11:00 AM

St. Andrews Church Social Hall, 60 Athabasca St. E, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan

Welcome to Fung Loy Kok Taoist Tai Chi. There will be a Tai Chi open house on April 6th from 11-noon. The open house will be in St. Andrews Church located at 60 Athabasca St E in the social hall (basement). Any member of the community is welcome to come and check out Tai Chi, people of all ages, races and genders are welcome to attend. There will not be a test at the end so feel free to participate. Many of the members have been doing Tai Chi for a long time so new members are welcome to learn at their own pace.
Tai Chi is a meditative martial art meaning it is very slow. It is meant to work all muscles slowly which has been shown to improve balance, mobility and strength, as well as improving general health. Many ill people have recovered frequently doing this activity, no guarantees can be made. You get out what you put into this program. Tai Chi is not just for women as men can and are a part of the group. Any age is welcome as our youngest member is 15 and our oldest member is in her 80’s. Tai Chi can also be done in a wheel chair or from a seated position, this is not frowned upon as each human body is different.
Feel free to join even after the open house, everyone is welcome. Lots of experience or none at all are both accepted. Get some comfy clothes on and come out and experience the magical world of Tai Chi.
