So, the resistance continues.  Despite the fact Moose Jaw City Council voted in favour of moving forward with front curbside garbage and recycling collection, some local folks, those opposed, are planning a meeting this week.

The move from the back alley to the front curbside was met with much resistance last year from a large number of local residents.  It works for some but not so well for others.

Moose Javians are talking on Facebook on the MJ Talks page.

Cody Hanson says, "I prefer curbside.  There is no need for snow removal at the back of my property now...I understand that some areas in town would be better served having it in the back.  That being said, why can't it remain curbside for most of the city and in the alley where it makes sense to do so?"

Now, doesn't that sound reasonable?  I think this is the direction we're heading but with the way our city council operates, one can't be sure.
