Interesting then that a new study shows the less expensive the wedding, the more likely the marriage is to last.

Researchers surveyed 3000 married people and found certain characteristics that increase the likelihood of failed marriages.

For example, they found the more expensive the engagement ring, the more likely the divorce.  

The trend was the same when it came to the cost of the ceremony and reception.  The more you spend, the the more likely the marriage will fail.

It's interesting to note, those who spent less on the wedding and more on the honeymoon were more likely to stay together.

So, there you go mom and dad.  Talk the kids into less expensive weddings and let 'em use your air miles for the honeymoon.
