So, they tell me we need it and I believe them.  They are local area farmers and ranchers.  They've been getting worried about the lack of snow and what would be a lack of moisture going into spring.  This will help.

Farms and ranches across southern and central Saskatchewan will be soaking up the water from 20, 30 and 40 centimetres of snow.

Oh, and they tell me it's good for the economy in our cities and towns.  Those who own and operate big equipment to move the snow will be busy for a few days, making money.  

Chances are some of our retail stores will be selling shovels and snowblowers today.  I'll bet people buy boots and other winter gear today and I'll predict a citizen or two will invest in a four-wheel drive vehicle.

So, you see, for most of us, all this snow will be but a minor inconvenience for a few days and in the end, when it's all said and done, this is great.  Or, so they tell me.
