They live, breathe and sleep it.  It's HOCKEY.  It's back.

The Moose Jaw Warriors are hosting the Medicine Hat Tigers in a pre-season game on Friday night, season ticket packages are hot off the presses and the Warriors are delivering pocket schedules to local sponsors and supporters.

The Western Hockey League has scaled back from a 72 game schedule to 68, eliminating a number of mid-week games across the board.  They pointed to a number of factors, including lower attendance and the fact most of the players are students.

So, by my count, our Warriors will play just 8 of 34 home games during the week with one on a Sunday afternoon and another on New Year's Eve which, this year, falls on a Monday night.  That means 24 of our home games this year will be on Friday and Saturday nights.  It makes sense, right?

Now, if I could only pick the music they play and turn it down a little and get those plastic, vuvuzela horns banned.......

I'll see you at the rink.
