Oh, I've heard the scuttlebutt from a number of sources and chances are you have too.  I'll bet we'll hear more in the coming days.

RuBarb Productions, Moose Jaw's professional theatre company, has officially folded.  We got the news yesterday afternoon when RuBarb issued a statement thanking us and the community for our support.

Like many others, I wondered if a professional theatre company would be able to survive in our city when it came together some 5 years ago.  I wondered if the support would be there to make it financially viable.  It turns out the answer is "No."

RuBarb Productions gave many of us some wonderful entertainment over the years - memories to last a lifetime.  RuBarb also gave local performers and artists opportunity and a time to shine.  That will never be lost on them.

So, while many might discuss RuBarb's failure today,  I'll say, "Thanks, RuBarb.  And don't be sad it's over, be happy it happened."
