HAZEL EVELYN COOPER

October 3, 1927 – November 16, 2017

Hazel was born in McLean, Saskatchewan but spent most of her youth in Keddleston, Saskatchewan. In 1945 she married Sidney Cooper and they raised three daughters. She lived in Lumsden, Saskatchewan most of her life, moved to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan in 2005 to be closer to her daughter Mary. Hazel will be greatly missed but leaves a lifetime of cherished memories. She was well known for her great baking, her sense of humour and her willingness to lend a hand. Hazel is predeceased by her husband Sidney; daughter Ethel; son-in-law Matt; and her grandson Richard. She is survived by daughters Mary (Lloyd) and Donna (Gary); brother Maurice (Marie); sister Millie; eight grandchildren;twelve great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will take place Monday, November 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the W. J. Jones Chapel (106 Athabasca St. E. Moose Jaw, SK). Reverend Dave Moore will officiate. Hazel’s family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Pioneer Lodge for the wonderful care Hazel received over the last two years. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations can be made to the Moose Jaw Humane Society (1755 Stadacona Street West, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7).
