HUDSON

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Arnold Harold Hudson on Thursday, February 22nd, 2018.  He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Olein Hudson; brothers, Kenneth and Barry; and sisters-in-law, Muriel Hudson and Shirley Kyle.  Arnold is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joyce; daughter, Heather (Larry) Hoyes and their son Brock; son, Byron (Leanne) Hudson and their sons Tyler and Kayden; brother, Gordon (Jean) Hudson; sister, Wilma (Jack) Mantell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Arnold was born in Moose Jaw, SK on March 16th, 1936.  He attended Carmel District Elementary School and went on to graduate for Peacock Technical High School.  He started his career at Robin Hood Mills.  After marrying Joyce in 1966, Arnold went on to work for Kalium (Mosaic) as superintendent and security until his retirement in 1997.  Not one to sit idle, he went back to work part-time at Supreme Basics.  With Arnold’s off-colour sense of humour, he enjoyed his daily interaction with the public.  “You can’t hold what you don’t have in your hand.”  Arnold’s love of all sports led him to be a broomball and hockey referee.  He was a fan of the Moose Jaw Warriors and Moose Jaw Miller Express.  Arnold was a proud supporter of Heather and Byron’s, as well as his grandson’s sports and activities.  Arnold will be missed by those that truly loved him.  The family would like to thank the staff on St. Vincent at Providence Place for Arnold’s care.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  In keeping with Arnold’s wishes, a Private Family Interment will be held.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Arnold’s name may be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association, 917A Albert St, Regina, SK S4R 2P6or theHeart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, Unit 26 - 1738 Quebec Ave,Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550 www.moosejawfuneralhome.com
