“.. too-da-loo, see you in the funnies”

Lloyd Oscar Lind of Moose Jaw passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the age of 95. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years Freda (Swenson); parents Oscar and Annie Lind; in laws Nick and Marjorie Swenson; siblings and their spouses Jack (Joyce), Ruth Bryant (Dick), Marjorie Palesch. He is survived by his children Linda Webster (Allan), Marjorie Yakiwchuk (Bill), Jim (Charlene) plus ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; in-laws Don and Dot Swenson; Bill Palesch and eleven wonderful nieces and nephews. Lloyd grew up in the Baildon district where he farmed and raised his family. Their move to Moose Jaw was in 1986 which was just a new chapter which they thoroughly enjoyed. While farming he participated in many community sports and was on several boards. He loved curling, golfing, square dancing, music, trips to Mesa and playing cards. In his retirement he began doing wood work projects that kept him very busy and of which he was very proud. Lloyd was very social and made many treasured friends over the years. With Lloyd and Freda the door was open, and the coffee pot was always on. A private family graveside service has taken place and a Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date. In preparation for the Celebration of Life, if you have any special memories please send them to: myakiwchuk@shaw.ca. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the Saskatchewan Cancer Society. In living memory of Lloyd, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
