Stanford Norris Pike

Stanford Norris Pike of Meyronne, SK passed away peacefully on December 12, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec to Lloyd and Bertha Pike. Stan will be remembered for his welding skills and love of antiques. He was a true craftsman who enjoyed restoring his home in a rustic manner, using good quality BC fir and steel products. Stan was a protector of Mother Earth and was always concerned about the environment.  Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Bertha Pike and his brothers Graydon, Gordon and Stephen. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Louise and his children Denise Hofer, Rhonda Sweet, Gary Pike, Sarah Pike and Hailey Pike.  Stan leaves behind six grandchildren, Eric, Kari, Odin, Gage, Rowan and Allie.  He will also be missed by David (Debbie) Chene, Geoff (Stacey) Chene, Christine Chene, Donna Sitko, Carolyn Chene, Natalie Chene, (Arianne, Avery and Jade) and his nephews Stephen and Dale and nieces Tammy and Mary-Lynn. The Pike and Chene family would like to thank Dr. G. Miller and the nurses in the ICU at Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital for their care and compassion during Stan’s final days. According to Stan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial with family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Saskatchewan Environmental Society (www.environmentalsociety.ca). In living memory of Stan a memorial tree planting will be made by Jones-Parkview Funeral Services.
