LYNN EVERETT WADSWORTH

DECEMBER 21, 1949 - FEBRUARY 11, 2018

It is with profound sadness, that we announce that Lynn passed away suddenly at home, in Deep Bay B.C. His loving wife Suezanne was with him at the end. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Suezanne and only son Graysen. Lynn was born and grew up in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He was a kind and generous man, who will be deeply missed. Early on he had a love of music and water. He was a strong swimmer, spending time in the pool or swimming outdoors, in the summers. As a young boy he was a great baseball player. He also loved to dance. He danced like no one was watching, happy and carefree. He lived in Calgary, working as a cable tv installer, which was new at the time. He became a scuba diver and his sense of adventure brought him to B.C. in 1975. He worked as a deckhand, on a salmon troller, out of Victoria, scuba diving in his spare time. He was fascinated by life under the sea, especially the octopus. In 1978 he moved to Comox and later Deep Bay where he was a commercial geoduck diver. He met his wife to be, Suezanne in Comox in 1978. They moved to Sooke and Lynn worked at Bamberton Cement. In 1981 they moved to White Rock and were married, December 21st, 1981. Lynn worked at Tilbury Cement, eventually, as a front-end loader operator, unloading barges on the Fraser River. He absolutely loved being back near the water and saw the beauty in it daily. On February 22nd, 1985 their son, Graysen Albert Wadsworth, was born. Watching him grow into a man was a great source of pride and joy. He was proud that Graysen is caring and compassionate, both as a boy and man. Lynn enjoyed teaching him things, always while listening to music, usually the oldies. Lynn grew up going on family camping trips. It was important to him to pass this love of adventure and the outdoors, to his own family. Over the years, he took his family on many fun camping trips and later seadooing and scooter adventures. He was a great husband and father. Lynn retired in 2015, moving back to Deep Bay with Suezanne. He loved the smell of the salt water, sitting on the beach, watching boats and sea life, coming and going. He enjoyed watching all the birds, especially hummingbirds. He was fascinated by their feistiness and ease of flight. He said, had he known how much, he would enjoy retirement, he would have done it sooner.Lynn was often called a dreamer, but it never bothered him because without dreams, what can we achieve. Lynn achieved many of his dreams! Lynn loved looking up at the moon and the stars, often deep in thought. So next time you’re looking up to the night sky, think of him and remember him fondly, he would love that. He often said to enjoy life to the fullest, as we are all “just passing thru.” He is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Winnifred Wadsworth, brothers Gary and Howard (Bud), sister-in-laws, Eileen Wadsworth, Emma Wadsworth, brother-in-laws, Ray Crane, Larry Wagner, and Norm Wray and mother-in-law Connie Forbes. He is survived by his wife, of 39 years, Suezanne; son Graysen Wadsworth -Surrey, B.C.; three sisters: Delores Crane -Oak Harbor, WA, Sandra Wray, Warman, Sask., Linda Wagner, Regina, Sask., three brothers Len -Kelowna, B.C., Dale (Joanne) -Peterborough, Ont., Brian (Gerry) -Moose Jaw, Sask., sister-in-laws Sharon Wadsworth -Duncan, B.C., Cheryl (Jim) Stevenson -Abbotsford, B.C. Brother-in-law Richard Forbes -Courtenay, B.C. Father-in-law Lou Forbes, Comox, B.C., a large family of many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Live each day to its fullest and cherish those you love.
