The 13U AAA Canucks won their baseball Regina league semifinal 8-0 over the Regina Buffalos Saturday afternoon

Canucks assistant coach Jon Cotter spoke about the contributions of every player.

"Literally everybody did something to contribute to this win," Cotter said. "Every single one of our boys showed up and did the job they needed to do, and it was a lot of fun, as a coach."

If the Buffalos had a number all year, the Canucks certainly had it. The Canucks no-hit the Reginans in their last regular-season game and also had a dynamite pitching performance on the mound in this game.

On the mound, Owen Varjassy allowed only two hits in a complete-game shutout performance, while adding an RBI at the plate.

Cotter said the victory shows a lot to the character after the disappointing result in the Canucks' very last regular season game, a 10-3 loss to the Regina White Sox.

The Canucks head to the league final today.
