The U13 AAA Canucks would only need one run last night, but instead, they got 11.

They defeated the Regina Buffalos 11-0 at Andrie Diamond on a combined no-hitter from pitchers Owen Csada and Cam Beisal. Canucks head coach Dustin Caplette-Tarrant 's made it look easy against a Buffaloes team they beat by only one run a few weeks ago.

“We’re starting to hit our peak in the season,” Caplette-Tarrant said. “The boys are playing good defence, we’re throwing strikes and hitting the ball. Everything’s just going well right now.”

Caplette-Tarrant said his pitchers have been throwing strikes but other factors have played into how well the team has played lately.

“Honestly, defence. We’ve been preaching it all year. It’s been showing up these last few weeks, which we like,” he said. “Our batting has been good all year, so once we clean up the infield, we’ll be good.”

In the game, Max Simmons got three hits, while Riley Cushway and Beisal got a pair of his each.

Kale Pratte and Beisal had three RBI each.

The Canucks' last regular season game will be against the Regina White Sox Tuesday in Regina. The White Sox are 6-9 on the season, compared to the Canucks’ first place 11-5-1 record.

Their first playoff game might not be until next Sunday.
