After making it into the 'A' Event final on Friday, Team Ackerman has dropped down into the 'C' Event and will have a long road on Sunday to repeat as provincial champions at the 2019 Saskatchewan Under-18 Championship.

The Skylar Ackerman skipped rink did finish Saturday on a two-game winning streak, beating Saskatoon's Jessica Farquharson, 6-4, in the afternoon and then Madison Kleiter from Saskatoon, 7-5, in the night draw.

Ackerman opened with a deuce against Farquharson and then added three in the fifth and a steal of one in the sixth on her way to the win.

In the night draw, the fifth and sixth ends were the turning point for Ackerman, she scored two in the fifth to tie the game at 4-4 and then stole three in the sixth to help secure the win.

Ackerman will now face Weyburn's Emily Haupstein on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. and will have to win three straight games to come away with the provincial title.
