The Moose Jaw Warriors are coming off their best road trip in franchise history and forward Justin Almeida helped power the team to a 6-0-1 record during their seven-game trek.

Almeida had seven points in the Warriors' three wins last week, earning a second consecutive WHL Player of the Week award.

The Pittsburgh Penguins prospect has moved into sixth in the WHL in scoring with 18 goals and 66 points in 42 games this season.

The week opened with Almeida burning his former team as he scored the overtime winner and finished with two points in a 3-2 win over the Prince George Cougars last Tuesday.

Last Friday in Edmonton, Almeida added another goal and two points as the Warriors skated past the Oil Kings 5-2.

Almeida and the Warriors wrapped up the road trip in Medicine Hat on Saturday with the 19-year-old forward posting two goals and three points in a 3-1 win over the Tigers.

Almeida is the only player to win back-to-back player of the week awards this season in the WHL. Jett Woo and Tristin Langan have also picked up weekly awards for the Warriors.

Moose Jaw will be back on home ice when they host the Tigers in a rematch at Mosaic Place on Friday.
