The Moose Jaw Bantam A Warriors dropped a 10-3 game to the Regina Cougars on Wednesday night in the Hockey Regina League.

Nicholas Lougheed, Brodi Noble and Chase Jocelyn scored in the loss for Moose Jaw, while Braxton MacAngus and Brennan Watterson picked up a pair of helpers each.

The Cougars opened with three first period goals, but Lougheed got Moose Jaw on the board only 1:59 into the second period. Regina answered with three straight goals, but Jocelyn scored late in the middle frame for the Warriors.

Noble scored midway through the third period to make it a 7-3 game, but the Cougars finished with a three-goal outburst over the final 5:49 of the game.

The loss drops the Warriors’ record to 3-17-2 on the year. They’re back on the ice fo ra pair of games this weekend, they head back into Regina on Friday to face the Tigers and then meet up with the Lumsden Lions on Sunday.

Coming up on Thursday, the Bantam A Mavericks are home to the Regina Shamrocks at the Bert Hunt Arena. Puck drops at 7:15 p.m. on the South Saskatchewan Female Hockey League contest.
