The Moose Jaw Bantam A Mavericks kept their undefeated season going on Thursday night. The Mavericks skated to a 6-4 win over the Estevan Bearcats at the Bert Hunt Arena in Saskatchewan Female Hockey League action.

Moose Jaw improves to 12-0-0 this season after the win.

Mattea May paced the Mavericks' attack with a hat trick in the win, while Sidney Ellingson and Nikita Halyk picked up a goal and two points each. Eowyn Stokes also found the back of the net in the win.

The Mavericks and Bearcats were tied at 1-1 after one and Estevan took the lead with a power-play goal midway through the second period.

However, May and Ellingson scored for Moose Jaw twice in the final 3:03 of the second.

Halyk and May would extend the Mavericks' lead with two early goals in the third period. Those would be key as the Bearcats battled back with two goals from Kiley Davis, who finished with a hat trick in the loss.

Stokes helped seal the win, scoring with 2:33 remaining in regulation for the Mavericks.

Sydnee Christmann stopped 19 shots in the win for the Mavericks, as Moose Jaw outshot Estevan, 30-23.

The Mavericks will be back on the ice next Friday when they host the Regina Shamrocks at the Red Knight Arena.

In the Saskatchewan AA Hockey League, the Bantam AA Warriors dropped a 10-4 game to the Regina Pat Blues. Braxton Hooper and Rowan Calvert had a goal and two points each, while Brendin Hughes and Hunter Bowes also scored in the loss.

The Midget AA Warriors lost 11-2 to the Lumsden/Bethune Lions with Conner Ruckaber and Ben Peterson scoring in the loss.
