Moose Jaw’s two bantam lacrosse teams had a successful trip to Weyburn on Thursday night.

The White Mustangs opened the night with a 4-1 win over the Weyburn Thrashers 1, while the Red Mustangs cruised to a 15-2 win over the Weyburn Thrashers 2 in the late game.

Both teams remain undefeated on the year in the Queen City Box Lacrosse League as the White Mustangs improved to 4-0 and the Red Mustangs pushed their record to 5-0-1 this season.

Kayde Shymko led the Red Mustangs to the win with three goals and seven points, while Layne Johnson chipped in with three goals and four points, and Brennan Waterson had two goals and three points.

Blake Butler picked up three goals and Kale Stephenson scored twice in the lopsided win for Moose Jaw, while Jake Williams and Casey Muntz had one goal each.

Both teams will return to the court on Tuesday at Mosaic Place as the Red Mustangs host the Regina Rock at 6 p.m. and the White Mustangs battle the Regina Swarm at 7:30 p.m.
