The Moose Jaw Bantam Mustangs completed their season on Monday with a bronze medal.

The Mustangs beat the Regina Bandits 5-2 in the Queen City Box Lacrosse League’s third place game at the Doug Wickenheiser Arena in Regina.

Caelan Fitzpatrick led the way for Moose Jaw with two goals, while Kirk Mullen chipped in with a goal and two points. Piper Ingalls and Bryden Bell had the other goals in the win for the Mustangs.

The bantam squad will now turn their focus to capturing a provincial title in two weeks in Regina.

With the Bantam Mustangs’ bronze medal win, every Moose Jaw team came away with a medal in the QCMBL this season. The Novice and Midget Mustangs won gold, while the Peewee Mustangs took silver.

The Midget Mustangs will be in Calgary over the long weekend for the annual Canada Day Box Lacrosse Tournament, which gets underway on Thursday.
