The Bantam Tier 2 Warriors are their second place finish in Minot this weekend.

The Bantam Tier 2 Warriors headed south on the weekend to Minot, North Dakota and they're coming back with a second place finish after a very strong performance.

The Warriors made into the championship game during the annual Border Cup, finishing 2-1 for the weekend, but falling 1-0 in a shootout to the Williston Coyotes in the final.

Moose Jaw and Williston battled through three periods of regulation hockey, but no one could find the back of the net.  The same went for overtime as it solved nothing, meaning the game would be going to a shootout for the championship title.  The Coyotes picked up the win in the shootout.

The Warriors had a good weekend, opening up with a 3-1 win over the hosts Minot and then knocking off the Regina Ducks 3-2 to get into the championship game.

Moose Jaw is currently first in the Regina Bantam Tier 2 Hockey League with a 12-1-2 record.  They're back on the ice on Thursday when the Regina Penguins come to the Bert Hunt Arena.
