Stan Barnsley’s Pro-Tec Electric rink is the last standing undefeated team in the Original 16 Cash League.
Barnsley and company won 9-3 over Barb Wallace during Wednesday night’s eight-game slate at the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre.
The win puts Barnsley in the top spot at 5-0, while Wallace drops to 2-4 this season.
There was one other undefeated team heading into Wednesday’s action, but Donna Ackerman’s Forged 365 rink lost 6-5 to Wade Gray’s Protec Video rink. The loss drops Ackerman to 3-1, while Gray improves to 2-4.
In other action on Wednesday, Joel Jordison’s Seaborn Insurance rink (5-1) stole one in the sixth to seal a 4-1 win over David Gray (1-6).
Danielle Sicinski and the BTN Chartered Accountants rink (4-1) scored four in the third and rolled to a 6-1 win over Bob Desjarlais and the Kal Tire rink (1-5).
The John’s Music rink, skipped by Ryan Wenarchuk, improved to 4-2 with a commanding 6-1 win over Murray Stroeder and the Tax Team rink (2-4). Wenarchuk scored two in the first, stole three in the second and one in the third to pick-up the quick victory.
Joe Gunnis and the EMJ Marketing rink (4-2) used a three-point fifth end to secure a 5-1 win over Makenna Simmons and the Paws N Play rink (0-5).
Patrick Ackerman’s Ackerman Ag Services rink (2-2) handed Matt Froehlich and the JGL Hawk’s rink (0-4) a 5-3 loss with a steal of two in the third and one in the sixth being the difference.
Ben Gamble improved the KMS rink’s record to 3-3 thanks to a 5-3 win over Ralph Courtnage and the Terra Grain Fuels rink (3-3).
On Monday, Warren Marcotte and the Fountain Tire/Keon’s rink improved to 4-2 thanks to a 9-4 win over Lorraine Arguin and the Easy Care Living rink (4-2).
