After a day long delay, the second round of the 104th Saskatchewan Amateur Men's Golf Championship finally teed off on Wednesday at the Woodlawn Golf Club in Estevan.

There were some high scores during the second round of action, but Moose Jaw's Leighton Bearchell was able to bounce back from a rough opening round to post a three-over 75, which allowed him to climb into a tie for 27th.

Bearchell was sitting at ten-over after the opening round on Monday, but he strung together a solid round on Wednesday with three birdies, four bogeys and a double bogey.

Mike Flegel remains the low local, but he struggled a bit on Wednesday shooting six shots higher than he did in round one. Flegel posted an eight-over 80 during the second round, which included three double bogeys – two coming on the back-nine.

After shooting a 74 in the first round, Flegel sits tied for 18th at ten-over par for the tournament.

Trevor Benson is just above the cut line heading into the third round as he's tied for 32nd after posting a nine-over 81 in the second round.

Nathan Corrin is tied for 43rd after two rounds, he shot an 82 on Wednesday, and Nick Lepine tumbled down the leaderboard during the second round thanks to 91. He was just three-over after he first round, but now sits at plus-22.

Rhys Tosczak of Weyburn continues to lead the tournament at two-under. He shot a two-over 74 on Wednesday.

The low round of the day went to Charles Boyechko from Winnipeg, who posted a three-under 69 to move into second place, three shots back of Tosczak.
