Moose Jaw GeneralsA busy three games in four nights stretch started on the right foot for the Moose Jaw Generals on Thursday night.  They went into Swift Current and handed the last place Legionnaires a 5-1 loss at the Credit Union Iplex.

Josh Beaudry paced the Generals' attack with his biggest performance of the year, scoring his second and third goals of the season.  Bhody Magnusson added a goal and an assist as the Generals role players led the offence in the win.

Beaudry and captain Trey Tendler scored just 42 seconds apart midway through the first period to give the Generals an early 2-0 lead.

Swift Current responded with an early goal in the second period from Kolby Johnson, but Beaudry made sure that momentum died quick, scoring just 25 seconds later to put Moose Jaw up 3-1.  Bhody Magnusson made it 4-1 with 1:59 to in the second and Rykr Cole closed out the win with his 16th of the season midway through the third.

Grant Naherniak was solid in goal for the Generals, making 29 saves, while Swift Current goalie Kyle Zinger was peppered with 42 shots in the loss.

The Generals moved four points back of the Prince Albert Mintos for third place in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League with the win.  They'll host the Mintos coming up on Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm.  The Beardy's Blackhawks are in town on Saturday night at 7:00pm.
