2019 Training Camp concluded Sunday afternoon at Mosaic Place with the annual Black-White Intrasquad Game.

Eighteen-year-old Cameron Sterling opened the scoring 44 seconds into the first period when he was able to deflect a point shot from Matthew Sanders to give Black a 1-0 lead.

White evened the game at one at 9:47 when second year import Daniil Stepanov tapped the puck in from the side of the net.

Just over two minutes later, Black went back up by one when defenceman Braden Miller jumped into the rush and snapped a shot top shelf.

Two minutes into the second period, Black extended their lead when they set up Kaeden Taphorn on top of the White crease.

White pulled back to within one at 6:29 when Kirk Mullen came up the ice on a breakaway and finished the rush with a goal.

Black kept coming in the second period, they picked up goals from Tate Popple and Luke Ormsby to take a 5-2 lead into the second intermission.

White started the third period strong, 25 seconds into the frame, Calder Anderson set up Kade Runke on the right side of the net where he banged the puck in to make it a two-goal game again.

Black responded at the four-minute mark when Ryan Hofer came down on the left wing and snapped a shot short side high over the goalie to make it 6-3.

White kept battling and with under four minutes left in the game, 15-year-old Dakota MacIntosh snapped a shot to the back on the net to pull them back to within two.

White pushed hard in the final moments but wasn’t able to pick up any more offence and Black skated to the 6-4 win.
