There was plenty of action in the High School Junior Volleyball League on Monday night with games going on across the city and out-of-town.

Central Butte ran the table in boys action at Central Collegiate.  They beat Central, 25-13 and 25-14, and Cornerstone, 25-18 and 25-16, in straight sets.  Cornerstone beat Central, 25-12 and 25-14, in the other game.

In the boys games at Vanier, the Vikings went 2-0 with straight set wins over Craik, 25-17 and 25-17, and Peacock, 25-22 and 25-9, while Peacock beat Craik in straight sets, 25-23 and 25-17.

There were girls games on South Hill at Riverview and in Central Butte.

At Riverview, Cornerstone went undefeated, beating Peacock Green, 26-24 and 25-20, Central Red, 25-13 and 25-17, and Avonlea, 25-16 and 25-16.  Peacock went 1-1-1, losing to Cornerstone, beating Central Red, 25-12 and 25-9, and splitting their two games with Avonlea, 25-22 and 9-25.  Central and Avonlea were 0-2-1.

In Central Butte, Craik went 2-0 against Central Butte and Caronport.  They knocked off the home team, 25-13 and 25-14, and then beat Caronport in straight sets as well, 25-18 and 25-16.  Central Butte beat Caronport, 25-12 and 25-14.

There's more Junior Volleyball action on Tuesday with Chaplin, Vanier and Central Gold all at Peacock Collegiate to take on Peacock Orange in the Girls league.

The Senior Volleyball League returns to the court on Tuesday night with boys and girls action at Vanier and Central, as well as games out in Caronport.  Riverview is in Caronport, Peacock battles Vanier and Rouleau heads to Central.
