Moose Jaw’s Marie Wright and Team Canada split a pair of games after day four of the World Wheelchair Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Finland.

Canada opened the day with a heartbreaking 7-5 loss to Turkey. Canada scored two in the eighth end to tie the game 5-5. However, Turkey would take advantage of having last rock to score two in the extra end.

Game two of the day saw Canada take a 7-6 win over the Czech Republic. After a slow start, Wright and Team Canada scored three in the sixth end to take a 6-5 lead. The Czechs would pick up a single point in the seventh to tie the game. With last rock, Canada would pick up one point and the win.

Wright wraps up round robin play tomorrow against Denmark in a must-win situation to keep her playoff hopes alive. Canada currently sits in the four-way tie for fifth place in Group B with a record of 3-4, so Canada will likely need help to make the playoffs.
