The Caronport Cougars continued their dominating season over the weekend at the Moose Jaw Senior Girls Volleyball Tournament.
The Cougars topped Warman in straight sets (25-21, 25-19) to take the tournament title and keep their perfect record this season in tact.
Caronport advanced into the final with a two-set win over the Central Cyclones in the semifinals (25-21, 25-23). Central would go on to finish in third place after bouncing back to beat Swift Current in three sets (15-25, 25-19, 15-12).
The Peacock Toilers lost out in the quarterfinals against Swift Current, falling in three sets (25-14, 11-25, 17-15).
Peacock head coach Bart Mihalicz is coming away encouraged by the team's play over the course of the two days.
“We got a little bit more consistent,” said Mihalicz. “Right now I feel like we are taking steps in the right direction to get that consistency there.”
Vanier didn't make it into the playoff round.
