A busy week starts with a big divisional game for the Moose Jaw Miller Express on Tuesday night.
The Millers will play host to the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets at Ross Wells Park to kick off a five games in five nights stretch that includes three games against Central Division opponents.
Moose Jaw heads into Tuesday’s game against Saskatoon looking for revenge after losing their last meeting, 9-8 in extra innings, last Thursday. The game saw the Millers charge back only to fall in ten innings, dropping their record to 2-1 against their Central Division rivals.
Todd Leavitt will get the call to the mound to start the week for Moose Jaw. The Vernon, BC native has a 1-1 record in three starts on the year.
Leavitt has gotten stronger as the season has went on. He went a season-high 7.1 innings during a 6-3 loss to Yorkton last Tuesday. He’ll be looking to build off that start and try to pick up a win against the Yellow Jackets.
Saskatoon comes into the game with a 5-9 record, which has them 3.5 games back of Moose Jaw for the Central Division lead. The Millers have won three of their past four games, while Saskatoon has lost two-of-three since beating Moose Jaw last week, but are coming off a 5-4 win over Swift Current on Monday.
First pitch on Tuesday night is at 7:05pm from Ross Wells Park.
