After a stellar season and a provincial title, it's off to Nationals for the Moose Jaw Major 12U AAA All-Stars. The community has rallied behind the team and club has

The 13U Canucks Ball Club hosted a fundraiser for the team on a hot Tuesday afternoon, selling freezees, chips and candy for $1.00 apiece.

Head coach, Tony Dreger was thrilled to see the support from another local team

"Super excited that those boys took it upon themselves to put a little bit of a stand together and raised some money for our boys to go away and that just shows how much the ball community sticks together and how proud everyone is of all our boys. That's just super-awesome and you can't say enough about those kids doing that."

The team will also be creating an "old school" calendar which they are selling banner ads for in order to get additional donations. There are plenty of ways to support the trip out east, including a Drop-and-Go account at Sarcan, a fundraising BBQ this weekend from 11-2 and a pizza night on Monday at Boston Pizza.

"Saturday, we are doing a BBQ at all three (Moose Jaw Co-op) gas stations. They graciously let us use their facilities to do some fundraising, which is awesome." explained Dreger, "Monday night, we're doing a pizza night and kind of a farewell, good-bye for the boys before we head out Tuesday morning."

The Canadian Nationals will kick off August 1st and runs through August 10th in Ancaster, Ontario. If they win there, they get the chance to go to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
