Cornerstone won 49-45 over Davidson in the semi-final and then beat Shaunavon, 73-52, in the final on Saturday afternoon.

"We just bonded really good as a team, we went out there and did what we came to do, we made our shots, played tough D, worked as a team, it was good," said Cornerstone’s Eva Gray.

Gray had 13 points in the final win for the Falcons, while Chiamaka Aghamelu led Cornerstone with 18 points and Hinano Fujihira added 16 in the win.

"Everyone seemed to be on fire, it was a good day for sure," said Gray.

"Seeing how good we can play this weekend, this was the best that we've played in a while, so carrying that into next weekend, I'm excited to see where it goes."

The Falcons will now head to regionals next weekend.
