Three incredible Moose Jaw Warrior careers came to an end on Monday night at Mosaic Place.

Brett Howden, Jayden Halbgewachs and Tanner Jeannot were the last three players to leave the ice following the Warriors’ 6-0 loss to the Swift Current Broncos in Game 7 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.

You could see the trio -- who have played together for four years and for a lot of that time on the same line -- trying to soak everything in during their last moments in a Warrior uniform.

"It's been amazing, it's been the best four years of my life, I can't believe it's over," said a tearful Jeannot on the Country 100 Post-Game Show.

"I wouldn't want to go through this with any other 20 guys in there, they're a special group, it's been an amazing year, obviously it's not how we wanted it to end, but I'm going to remember this year for the rest of my life and I'm not going to forget any of those guys in there."

Jeannot, Howden and Halbgewachs all joined the Warriors full-time in the 2014-15 season. They played together on a line starting the next season, helping push the Warriors into the second round of the playoffs that year.

They set records together and helped lead Warrior fans on an unbelievable ride over the course of this season.

"We've grown up here together since we were young kids, 15 or 16 years old, it's been a fun five years growing up with them here and we've become really close, like brothers now, so it was a lot of fun to have those two guys by my side this whole time," said Howden.

The Warriors put together the best regular season in franchise history and entered this season with championship hopes after four years of building towards this season.

Halbgewachs said it's disappointing to have it end earlier than expected, "Going into this season we wanted to do better things, it was our last season and we had a really good team and we showed it throughout the year, finishing first and putting two banners up, but to not pull through in the playoffs doesn't feel good," he said.

"The last four years have been unreal and we put a lot of work to get here."

Halbgewachs tied the franchise record with 70 goals in the regular season, Jeannot set new career highs across the board this season and Howden led the Warriors through it all with a career-high 1.53 points per game.

"It was a really good year, we broke a lot of records a team and a lot of guys had individual success because of that and it was a really fun year with our coaches, all the players and all the staff, it was a year to remember for sure,” said Howden.

All three players have signed NHL entry level contracts and will be moving onto professional careers.
