The Moose Jaw Kinsmen Flying Fins are looking for new team members and they will be hosting a free mini-camp next week at the Kinsmen Sportsplex.

“The camp will give new swimmers an opportunity to try-out for the swim team,” said Head Coach Gord Shields. “The coaches will teach some basic swimming skills to the swimmers and at the same time do an assessment of what group they’ll fit into if they decide to join the swim team.”

The Flying Fins have a Learn-to-Swim program, as well other programs in Swim Quest for different age groups and skill levels.

“The swimmers should be four years old by December 31 and then any age after that and we just assess by ability on what group they’ll fit into,” said Shields.

The camp, which is free of charge, runs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. next week.

Those interested in taking part are asked to pre-register by emailing gshields@sasktel.net with the swimmers’ name, date of birth and the parents’ contact information.
