The Original 16 Cash League took over the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre on Wednesday night for a full slate of eight games and only two teams came out of the action still undefeated on the season.

Matt Froehlich's DNT Paintless Dent Repair rink won 7-3 over Wade Gray's Protec Video rink to improve to 4-0 on the year, while Bob Desjarlais' Kal Tire rink came away with a 6-5 win over Ryan Wenarchuk's Johns Music rink to keep pace at 4-0.

Froehlich used two in the sixth and a steal of two in the seventh to turn his close game against Gray into a blow out. The loss drops Gray's record to 2-2 on the year.

Desjarlais opened up a 5-2 lead on Wenarchuk thanks to two in the first end, one in the third and two more in the fifth. Wenarchuk battled back with two in the sixth and a steal of one in the seventh to tie the game, but Desjarlais would score one with the hammer in the eighth for the win.

With the loss, Wenarchuk sits at 0-4 on the year.

In other action on Wednesday: Donna Ackerman and the Misfitz improved to 2-2 with a 5-4 win over Boston Pizza's Ben Gamble, who dropped to 2-2; Moose Jaw Funeral Home's Brett Behm (1-3) picked up his first win, beating EMJ Marketing's Joe Gunnis (0-4), 4-2; Derek Owens and the BTN Chartered Accountants rink dropped their first game, falling 8-3 to Ralph Courtnage's Terra Grains rink (3-1);

Murray Stroeder's BNC Truck and Trailer rink improved to 3-1 with a 7-5 win over Lorraine Arguin's Easy Care Living rink (2-2); Joel Jordison's Seaborn Insurance rink is also 3-1 after beating Chillers' Jerry Cherneski (1-3), 8-3; and Patrick Ackerman improved to 2-2 with a 6-1 win over Keons' Warren Marcotte, who fell to 0-4.
