The Moose Jaw Generals fought their way to a 2-2 tie against the Everett Silvertips U18 Elite AAA team on Wednesday at the 37th annual Richmond International Midget Tournament.

Moose Jaw entered the third period trailing 2-0, but Cody Davis got the Generals on the board with a goal just 1:36 into the final frame. Casey McDonald would score less than three minutes later to tie the game up at 2-2.

Neither team could find the go-ahead marker over the next 15 minutes and two overtime periods solved nothing.

Jake Davidson was between the pipes for Moose Jaw in the game, while Jaxon Georget picked up an assist on McDonald’s goal.

Jakob Stevenson had both goals for the Silvertips in the second period.

The Generals are now 0-1-1 at the tournament. They continue their round robin on Thursday against the Yale Academy Lions. Puck drops at 4:30 p.m.
