The Moose Jaw Generals couldn’t make it two in a row to open the preseason on Sunday night as they lost 6-3 to the Legionnaires in Swift Current.

Moose Jaw had opened the preseason with a 6-0 win over Swift Current on Friday night at Mosaic Place.

The Generals started strong on Sunday with a goal from Riley Skarbon just under three minutes into the game. Cal Caragata added a power play goal later in the frame and Logan Hauser found the back of the net with 2:36 to go in the first to give Moose Jaw a 3-2 lead after one.

The second period is where things started to go Swift Current’s way as Hunter Lamb, Rhett Evjen and Lucas Ochitwa scored to give the Legionnaires a 5-3 lead.

Rhett Stevenson added another goal in the third period to seal the win for Swift Current.

Lamb and Rin Beny had a goal and three points each in the win for the Legionniares, while Evjen potted a pair of goals and Stevenson finished with a goal and two points.

Ethan Hein and Jordan Muhr split time in net for the Generals, each allowing three goals. Hein made 13 saves, while Muhr stopped seven.

The Generals are off now until Sunday when they host the Regina Pat Canadians at Mosaic Place. Puck drops at 1:30 p.m.
