The Moose Jaw Generals opened the weekend on a losing note as they fell 4-3 to the Trojans in Tisdale.

Jayden Davis, Cole Fonstad and Jeremy Bisson scored just over three minutes apart to give the Generals a 3-2 lead in the second period, but Carter Budzak would tie the game just a minute after Moose Jaw’s flurry.

Josh McDougall’s second goal of the game, and third point, gave the Trojans the win when he scored early in the third period.

The Trojans had opened the scoring midway through the first period on a goal from Logan Foster.  McDougall’s first early in the second extended that lead to 2-0.

Hunter Arps lost for just the second time in regulation this season as he allowed four goals on 39 shots in goal for the Generals.  Moose Jaw threw 31 shots on Tisdale goalie Justen Close.

The win moves the Trojans into a tie for second place in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League with the Generals.

These two teams will meet to close out the weekend on Sunday afternoon in Tisdale at 2 p.m.
