The Moose Jaw Generals scored early in Sunday’s meeting with the Regina Pat Canadians, but they couldn’t keep up the rest of the way.

Regina scored three unanswered goals and skated to a 3-1 win over the Generals at Mosaic Place in Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League preseason action.

Skyler Sangster scored just 2:23 into the first period, but that was all the offence for Moose Jaw in the loss.

Jayden Dureau tied the game for Regina late in the first and then Adam Herold and Taylor Halbgewachs put them in front during the second.

Jordan Muhr started for the Generals in the loss, allowing two goals on 20 shots over 30:13 of playing time. Jake Davidson came in after that and made 32 saves over the final 29:41.

The Generals fired just 18 shots on the Regina net.

These two teams will meet again on Wednesday when the Generals travel into Regina for an 8 p.m. puck drop at the Cooperators Centre.
