The Moose Jaw Generals skated to a 3-3 tie against the Lloydminster on Friday night.  That puts their record at 0-1-1 at the 35th annual Mac’s Tournament.

 

The Generals lost their opener 4-2 in a tight game against the defending Telus Cup champion Red Deer Chiefs.

 

The Generals have two games left at the tournament.  They’ll play Pirati Chomutov from the Czech Republic on Saturday afternoon at 2:30pm.  Then on Sunday, they square off the Calgary Royals at 9:00am.

Red Deer features one of the five Moose Jaw Warriors prospects, Logan Hermus, at the Mac’s Tournament.

 

They had last night off after moving to 2-0 with a 2-1 win against the Calgary Royals on Thursday.

 

Hermus and the Chiefs play the Lloydminster Bobcats on Saturday night at 8:00pm.

The Leduc Oil Kings with Warriors prospect Dallas Valentine are sitting at 1-1 after a 6-4 win over the Alaska Junior Aces on Friday.

 

They play the Tisdale Trojans on Saturday morning at 11:45am.

Brandon Del Grosso and the Vancouver Northwest Giants are rolling through their group at the Mac’s Tournament right now.

 

They sit at 3-0 after a 5-1 win over the Tisdale Trojans.  Del Grosso opened the scoring in the second period for Vancouver and finished with two points in the win.

 

The Giants look to finish off the perfect round robin with a win against the Calgary Flames on Saturday afternoon at 2:30pm.

Dustin Perillat and the Saskatoon Blazers improved their record to 1-1 with a 3-2 win over the Battlefords Stars on Friday.

 

The Blazers will be back on the ice on Saturday morning against the Greater Vancouver Canadians.  They finish the round robin against the Calgary Buffaloes on Sunday.
