For the second straight game at the Richmond International Midget Tournament, the Moose Jaw Generals skated to a 2-2 tie, battling the Yale Academy Lions to a draw on Thursday.

All the scoring came in the second period on Thursday.

Yale’s Blake Bryce opened the scoring 2:06 into the middle frame, but Ben Wourms-Rowe was able to answer for Moose Jaw just over five minutes later to tie the game at 1-1.

Cal Caragata put the Generals in front only three minutes later. Moose Jaw held the lead until late in the second when Yale’s Talon Zakall scored with 20 seconds remaining to even the score at 2-2 heading into the third.

Neither team could find the go-ahead goal in the third to settle for the tie.

The Generals are still looking for their first win of the tournament as they close out the round robin on Friday against the Mission, Arizona under-18 team. They hit the ice at noon.
