The Midget AAA Generals got their 2012-13 season started off on the right foot on Saturday night in Wilcox.  They knocked off the Notre Dame Hounds 4-2.

Second year forward Trey Tendler led the way for Moose Jaw in the win with a goal and two points.

Both of Tendler’s points came in the opening frame, he set up Stephen Wilson for the early 1-0 lead just under four minutes in.  Not too much later, Tendler scored to put the Generals up 2-0 midway through the first.

Moose Jaw took a 3-0 lead three minutes into the second period with Donovan Neuls scoring his first, but it would be all Hounds after that in the middle frame.  Jacob Cardiff got the Hounds on the board and then a shorthanded goal from Keegan Milligan cut the lead to 3-2 before the break.

The Generals put the finishing touches on the win in the third though with Rykr Cole scoring with 6:40 to go for the 4-2 win.

Ryland Pashovitz made the start in goal for Moose Jaw and made 26 saves in the win.  Moose Jaw fired 35 shots on Notre Dame goalie Eric Williams.

The Generals will be at home on Sunday afternoon to take on the Notre Dame Argos.  Puck drops at 1:30pm at Mosaic Place.
