The Moose Jaw Giants brought home some hardware from the Softball Saskatchewan Men’s 'C' Provincial Championship in Earl Grey.

The Giants fell 7-5 to the Grenfell Gems in the final on Sunday, July 29.

Moose Jaw rolled through the competition in the round robin, beating the Hanley Merchants, 9-2 on Friday and then downing Fleming Jets, 9-1, and knocking off the Laird Dynamos, 13-6.

They would need extra innings to win their semifinal game, 4-3, over the PDC Comets, before coming up just two runs short of the title in the final.

The Giants are now in the Rambler Park Men's Fastball League playoffs after going 8-9-1 during the regular season. They will take on the Regina Hawks in Game 1 of the quarterfinals on Friday.

The Moose Jaw Canadians posted a league-best 15-1-2 record during the regular season and have a bye into the semifinals.
