The Moose Jaw Canadians have waited four years to claim the Rambler Park Men's fastball league title, and they'll have to wait at least one more.

The Golden Hawks won 4-3 at Lyle Helland Diamond at Memorial Field last night, which pushes the series to a deciding game 3 tonight.

Pitching in relief, Xavier Trembley struck our four in two innings, but the Canadians couldn't get that final run across after being down 4-1 in the fifth.

The Canadians will try to get things righted tonight.

“Just try to keep (mistakes) to a minimum and hit the ball. Maybe get some small ball going,” said Trembley.

With the Canadians down 4-1 going into the bottom of the sixth, Brad Reaney led off with a solo home run to bring them to within two. A walk to Dustin Thiel, wild throw and a sac fly by Brett Friesen got the Canadians to a 4-3 score but Hawks pitcher Les George struck out the last three batters he faced for a total of 13 in the game.

The Golden Hawks outhit the Canadians 6-5 in the game, and the Canadians committeed four errors in the field.

First pitch tonight is at 7 p.m.
