There will be another Saskatchewan golfer on the PGA Tour next year as Moose Jaw born Adam Hadwin picked up his first Tour Card on the weekend.

Hadwin wrapped up his season on the Web.com Tour with a second place finish at WinCo Foods Portland Open from the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.

That second place finish allowed Hadwin to lock up tenth on the Web.com Tour money list, which allowed him to earn his tour card.

It’s been a strong season for Hadwin as he picked up a win and five top-five finishes.

This past weekend, Hadwin shot 13 under par for the tournament, including a 65 in the second round and a 63 in the third round on Saturday.  He was one shot back of Carlos Ortiz.

Hadwin’s lone PGA Tour event this year was the RBC Canadian Open in July.  He finished in 53rd place at two-under par.

Hadwin burst onto the scene in 2011 when he made the cut at the US Open and finished in 39th place and then followed that up with a fourth place finish at the RBC Canadian Open and a seventh place finish at the Frys.com Open.

He will get the chance now to play his first full season on the PGA Tour.

Corrin Finishes In Eighth

Moose Jaw's Nathan Corrin took part in the Maple Leaf Junior Tour stop at the Legends Golf Course in Warman over the weekend.

He shot a two-day total of 161 to finish in a tie for eighth place.

Corrin was 14 shots behind the winner, Kyle Wiebe out of Madison, Saskatchewan.
