The Moose Jaw and District Sports Hall of Fame is preparing for its 2019 induction class.

Before the local organization can get ready for the next class to head into the hall, they will be looking back to the last year with their annual general meeting coming up on Wednesday night at the Moose Jaw Public Library.

"Any interested parties in the hall of fame, whether you just want to find out more about the hall of fame -- we'll be going through our finances, talking about the year in the past and do an election of officers -- if you're interested, come on by, we'd love to see you," said Larry Graham, President of the MJDSHF.

There are two openings on the board heading into the AGM. Graham said it can be a lot of work, but it pays off in the end on induction night.

"It's a good thing for the city," said Graham.

The Hall of Fame has inducted 24 athletes, builders and teams over the first four induction dinners, which happen in the fall at Mosaic Place.

The nomination deadline for inductees is coming up on Friday.

Graham said you need to put in a bit of work to complete in the induction nomination form, "If there's an athlete, builder or team out there that you think deserves to be inducted, it should be almost a labour of love, fill in the forms, find out some information and let us know," he said.

The Hall of Fame's AGM goes at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Public Library.
