The plant will be turned on at the end of September, Ice work begins the first week of October and Tuesday October 12th the curling season begins at Mosaic Place.

Rhonda Wenarchuk is the Curling Programmer at the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre and she says not much will be different this year when it comes to Curling and COVID; "We've kept cleaning protocols that we had last year just to keep it safe for everyone, and with the mask protocols that come in next week, we'll probably just have to wear masks in the building."

They have introduced some changes to some of the curling leagues. Monday nights will feature 2 on 2 play for cash, the winner will get to keep half the pot, Wenarchuk said "If you keep winning you might have a good chunk of money by the time Christmas comes."

Friday nights have also changed a bit for the upcoming season, teams can get signed up with anywhere from 4 to 20 people on a team. "With everybody's schedule these days it's hard to make it every week so this gives them an opportunity to do something different" said Winarchuk.

To get your team registered you can visit the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre page on the Mosaic Place website, call the office at 306-624-2040 or stop by in person.
